Başkent EDAŞ, a distribution company of Enerjisa Enerji which invests in the electricity infrastructure in Türkiye and creates projects by placing sustainability to the core of its business strategy with a particular focus on human and technology, takes significant steps to enhance energy supply security and to modernize infrastructure in Dilaver and Asma neighborhoods in Zonguldak.
Carrying out its sustainable projects with the vision of ‘A better future for all’, Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Başkent EDAŞ) steams ahead with its investments in Zonguldak with the goal to provide sustainable and uninterrupted energy. Thus, significant steps are taken to enhance energy supply security and to modernize the infrastructure in Dilaver and Asma neighborhoods in Zonguldak.
Reinforcement and modernization in energy infrastructure
Başkent EDAŞ has the goal to minimize the power failures that may occur in adverse weather conditions by moving the energy grids which have completed their life cycle underground in order to reinforce energy infrastructure and provide higher-quality energy services. The investments will also enable the company to create the infrastructure of alternative feeding regimes and voltage transformation projects to be put into operation in the coming years.
A mega investment of TL 31 million
Having the goal to minimize power outages in Dilaver and Asma neighborhoods in Zonguldak and to provide lighting on the streets as part of the investment, Başkent EDAŞ budgeted TL 31 million lira for the project. Overhead grids frequently being impacted from adverse weather conditions are being disassembled as part of the project to install a more modern, secure, economical and long-lasting underground grid.
Over 500 household to benefit from the project
The purpose of this renovation project which includes 7 substation areas of Başkent EDAŞ is to renovate the grid which provide energy to the houses as well as supplying secure and uninterrupted energy to more than 500 households by moving HV line feeding the substations underground.
Accordingly, LED fittings are preferred in street and avenue lighting as they offer a more economical, long-lasting and aesthetic solution.
Bahçelievler Neighborhood project full steam ahead
On the other hand, Başkent EDAŞ steams ahead with the grid renovation project worth 41 million in Bahçelievler Neighborhood in line with its objective of reinforcing sustainable energy infrastructure.
The majority of the works have been completed to modernize the distribution grid and to supply uninterrupted energy to local people and some streets have already been energized as part of the project.
The investments have the goal to increase the quality of life in Zonguldak by reinforcing the energy infrastructure of the city as well as ensuring sustainable energy supply. Başkent EDAŞ will sustain its efforts to reinforce and modernize energy infrastructure through such projects.
