Başkent EDAŞ continues to strengthen the energy infrastructure in Bartın

Continuing its operations with its vision to supply uninterrupted and sustainable energy, Başkent EDAŞ sustained its maintenance, repair and investment efforts throughout Bartın in 2024. The company modernized and improved its energy infrastructure, while also prioritizing the digital transformation projects and practices that enhance customer satisfaction

Located on the coast of the Black Sea Region and standing out with its vast forest areas and mining activities, Bartın attracts interest with its emerging industry and increasing energy demand besides its natural beauties.

In line with this dynamic structure, Başkent EDAŞ, which endeavors to supply uninterrupted and sustainable energy to the city, has completed significant investments throughout 2024 to strengthen the energy infrastructure in Bartın.

Başkent EDAŞ, one of the three distribution companies operating under Enerjisa Distribution Companies together with AYEDAŞ and Toroslar EDAŞ, steams ahead with its investments to provide safe, high-quality and uninterrupted energy to more than 150,000 customers in Bartın.

As part of the efforts put throughout Bartın in 2024, maintenance, rehabilitation and investment activities were carried out at 1,539 substations and 7,521-kilometer-long energy lines in order to supply sustainable energy. In the meantime, climate-friendly steps were taken, and projects were continued in line with the digital transformation goals.

Energy infrastructure in Bartın gets stronger and stronger

Başkent EDAŞ built resilient infrastructures and ensured uninterrupted energy supply in the areas where there are dense forests, and seasonal and environmental conditions make energy transmission challenging. Beside the maintenance works conducted at a total of 2,032 lighting fixtures, maintenance works were also conducted at 26 panels, 58 substations and 43 distribution centers in the Merkez, Amasra, Kurucaşile and Ulus districts of Bartın. Moreover, a total of 465-kilometer-long energy line was checked in the same period to make the infrastructure more robust. As part of the investments, 141-kilometer-long new underground cables were laid, and 1,845 new lighting fixtures were installed. Furthermore, 176 new panels and 40 new substations were installed; thus, the energy distribution grid was expanded and modernized. All these efforts ensured that Başkent EDAŞ successfully achieved the goals that the company set for 2024.

Efficiency increases with digital transformation

Pioneering in digitalization in the energy industry, Başkent EDAŞ put into operation technological solutions that increase operational efficiency in Bartın, as well. The Mobile Telecommunication and Charging Stations developed as part of the Disaster and Emergency Wireless Telecommunication System Project contributed strategically to the disaster management efforts by facilitating uninterrupted communication in times of a possible disaster or crisis. Moreover, thanks to the ChatVolt application, one of the digital platforms that have the purpose of improving customer experience, users access fast and effective service easily.

24/7 accessible and customer-oriented service mentality

Başkent EDAŞ actively uses digital channels to offer a 24/7 accessible service to its subscribers in Bartın. The company receives all requests and grievances via www.baskentedas.com.tr, ChatVolt web platform, Başkent 186 mobile application, WhatsApp Hotline at 0 (312) 186 00 00 and 186 Call Center and resolves the issues. Furthermore, the company keeps customer interaction active via its social media accounts.
