Başkent EDAŞ, one of the three distribution companies operating under Enerjisa Distribution Companies together with AYEDAŞ and Toroslar EDAŞ, which place sustainability to the core of its business strategy and develop people- and technology-oriented projects, achieved many successes in 2024 thanks to its customer- and solution-oriented approach.
Providing service to more than 3 million users in Ankara, Başkent EDAŞ sustained its efforts to offer more reliable, uninterrupted and high-quality energy supply to the region with its infrastructure investments and digitalization projects.
Providing services at 21,997 substations and on 68,167-kilometer-long energy line in Ankara, Başkent EDAŞ continued its repair & maintenance works as well as its investments to supply sustainable and uninterrupted energy. Moreover, the company sustained its efforts in digital transformation and actions to reduce its carbon footprint.
Strengthening the infrastructure in Ankara to ensure uninterrupted energy
Başkent EDAŞ completed the maintenance works for a total of 11,984 lighting fixtures in Akyurt, Altındağ, Ayaş, Bala, Beypazarı, Çamlıdere, Çankaya, Çubuk, Elmadağ, Etimesgut, Gölbaşı, Güdül, Haymana, Kahramankazan, Kalecik, Kızılcahamam, Nallıhan, Polatlı, Pursaklar, Şereflikoçhisar and Sincan districts. Moreover, the company strengthened its energy infrastructure with the maintenance works completed at 552 panels, 129 substations and 1,247 distribution centers. In the same period, the company carried out maintenance works for 8,347-km-long lines, contributing to sustainable energy distribution.
Successfully achieving the investment goals in 2024, Başkent EDAŞ completed the laying of 1,074-km-long new cables and the installation of 4,727 new lighting fixtures in order to provide uninterrupted and high-quality energy to over 3 million customers that the company serves. Furthermore, the company strengthened its infrastructure by installing 860 new electrical panels and 299 substations. With these maintenance & repair works and investments, Başkent EDAŞ successfully achieved its goals set for 2024.
More Efficient Energy Management with Technology-Oriented Solutions
Leading the digitalization process in the energy industry, Başkent EDAŞ accelerated technology-oriented projects in 2024 to improve its operational processes and enhance customer satisfaction. Mobile Telecommunication and Charging Stations, which were put into use as part of the Disaster and Emergency Wireless Telecommunication System Project of Enerjisa Distribution Companies, contributed significantly to disaster management by enabling uninterrupted communication in times of crisis. Expanding digital solutions in customer services as well, Enerjisa Distribution Companies facilitated users to get faster and more effective support via instant messaging with the ChatVolt application.
