Pioneering the energy transformation in Türkiye, Enerjisa Enerji, the leading electricity distribution, retail, and customer solutions company in Türkiye, continues its efforts to convey information to children about the significance of energy efficiency and saving via its international award-winning social responsibility project, I Protect My Energy, which celebrates its 14th anniversary. I Protect My Energy has instilled energy efficiency and saving awareness in over 360,000 children since 2010, particularly in cities where Başkent EDAŞ, Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ, subsidiaries of Enerjisa Enerji, provide service.
Enerjisa Enerji carries out activities for children, the future of our country, on energy efficiency as part of the ’I Protect My Energy’ project. Enerjisa Enerji has reached over 360,000 students between the ages of 7 and 13, considering them as our future, in 750 schools in 15 provinces, since 2010 and still continues to provide training on energy efficiency and saving. The Company raises awareness of children via the Story Contest Begins having a theme of “A Better Future,” the theater play, “Küsmesin Yıldızlar” (May the Stars Not Be Offended), and Energy Protectors training.
The theater play, “Küsmesin Yıldızlar,” completed its Anatolia tour and reached 10,000 children.
The theater play titled “Küsmesin Yıldızlar” of the internationally award-winning "I Protect My Energy" project, which was launched by Enerjisa Enerji 14 years ago, was on stage for students. While the goal of the play is to raise awareness of children on using energy resources efficiently and energy saving for a better future, the play also instills in students a love of theater.
Organized in collaboration with Bahçeşehir Private High Schools and Doğa Private High Schools, located in Istanbul Anatolian Side, Zonguldak, Kastamonu, Ankara, Mersin, Adana and Gaziantep which are within the areas of responsibility of Enerjisa Distribution Companies -Başkent EDAŞ, Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ- and with the participation of public schools, the theater play was staged 30 times in 1 month to 10,000 children.
Record-breaking participation in the Story Contest, “A Better Future”
Held for the 3rd time by Enerjisa Enerji as part of the ‘I Protect My Energy’ project, the story contest, which was organized among 3rd and 4th grade students throughout Türkiye, witnessed a record-breaking participation this year. Children who participated in the competition with joyful and creative stories got the opportunity to improve their writing skills and also push the limits of their creativity.

Speaking about the "I Protect My Energy" social responsibility project and the 30-day tour of the children’s theatre play, “Küsmesin Yıldızlar,” Ebru Taşcıoğlu, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Capabilities at Enerjisa Enerji, stated as follows: ''Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Investments are indispensable components of our understanding of sustainability at Enerjisa Enerji. Thus, we are proud to raise awareness of our children on energy efficiency and saving via our 'I Protect My Energy' project, which we have been carrying out for 14 years. Since we have set out our journey with the aphorism, ‘as the twig is bent, so grows the tree,’ we put all our efforts together with our children into realizing our dream of building a sustainable future for our children. We reached 10,000 children in only the past thirty days and contributed to their growth as individuals with raised awareness. At Enerjisa Enerji, our goal is to reach 500,000 children in a few years. As we move towards this goal, we will continue our efforts relentlessly via our energy saving training and events, thanks to our belief in a sustainable future."
