Başkent EDAŞ invests TL 41 million to Şereflikoçhisar and Evren in 2 years

Başkent EDAŞ has carried out TL 41 million worth grid investment in 2 years in order to provide uninterrupted and sustainable energy to Şereflikoçhisar and Evren districts in Ankara.

Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Başkent EDAŞ) sustains its investments in Şereflikoçhisar and Evren districts in Ankara in order to meet the increasing energy demand of the region uninterruptedly and in high quality.

Building alternative feeding lines from various locations of the district to Şereflikoçhisar Substation, which fulfills the energy requirement of Şereflikoçhisar and Evren districts, Başkent EDAŞ has the goal to prevent possible interruptions in the region.

A 60-kilometer-long energy transmission line was built.

Building a 60-kilometer-long energy transmission line which extends among Kızılırmak, Emirler and Şereflikoçhisar Substations and feeding energy to the region via alternative transformers, Başkent EDAŞ enabled access to uninterrupted energy to Şereflikoçhisar and Evren districts via 1 distribution center, 20 transformers and 3 separate alternative line feeders as part of the project.

Başkent EDAŞ enabled alternative line feeding in the region and included the production facilities in the ring grid. The related project enabled the lines feeding the production facilities to be separated from the lines that the residential subscribers are connected to; thus, the residential subscribers would not be affected by the interruptions caused by the production facilities.

The city center was supplied energy via alternative lines.

Installing additional 30-kilometer-long overhead lines and 10-kilometer-long underground lines to the grid and connecting the city center to alternative lines via a ring grid, Başkent EDAŞ used a total of 5-kilometer-long underground lighting lines and new type of galvanized lighting poles in various regions in order to enlighten the streets.

Başkent EDAŞ included 40 distribution centers in Şereflikoçhisar and Evren districts to the SCADA system; so that the company could be notified as soon as the power failures occur and that these failures can be intervened swiftly to minimize downtime.

With the goal to increase the energy supply security of the region, Başkent EDAŞ sustains its efforts to install distribution lines and to carry out maintenance and repair operations in all cities and districts under its responsibility.
