Operating with its pioneering technologies and human-oriented approach, Başkent EDAŞ renewed its energy transmission line in Karabük with an investment of TL 41 million. Thanks to the project completed within the targeted time which raised the medium voltage operation voltage in the region up to 36 kV, over 780 utilities and more than 2200 consumers now enjoy high-quality and uninterrupted energy
Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Başkent EDAŞ) continues its maintenance, repair and investment works to provide better services for more than 177,000 customers in Karabük, a challenging geography where challenging weather conditions prevail.
The infrastructure renewal project, which was initiated due to end of useful economic life of the Energy Transmission Line and the lines that feed the settlements connected to this line built in 1978 in Karabük, was successfully completed in 7 months –from May to December 2023.
Thanks to the project completed by Başkent EDAŞ by an investment of TL 41 million, 786 utilities and 2,280 consumers have been provided high-quality and uninterrupted energy.

Thanks to the new investment project carried out in Karabük, 8.2-km-long energy transmission line, 6.25-km-long joint high voltage grid and 13.3-km-long low voltage grid were installed to meet the energy requirement of Bolkuş, Pirinçlik, Salmanlar, Demirciler, Şenler, Sipahiler and Düzçam villages.
While the renewal works for the substation having a capacity of 2500 kVA were completed in the region to increase the quality of the energy consumed and prevent outages, 5 Measurement Cabins with Breakers were also commissioned.
