Başkent EDAŞ completes the lighting works at the Çerkeş location of the E80-D100 Highway, which is a West-East commodity route of Europe and Turkey with busy national and international transportation activities
Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Başkent EDAŞ) completed the lighting works of the central reserve in Çerkeş location of the D100 highway, which is a portion of the E80 highway, one of the longest highway routes in Europe, within the borders of Turkey.
As part of the maintenance works carried out by Başkent EDAŞ in 2022, the lighting operation at the Çerkeş location, one of the busiest regions in Turkey, of the E80 highway, which extends from Portugal in Europe to Turkey and connects 10 countries, was overhauled.
Meeting the lighting requirements of the region, Başkent EDAŞ successfully completed its activities on the very same day without causing any interruption on the highway, which was busy with freight and passenger transportation.
290 lighting poles were overhauled in total and navigational safety was ensured.
Başkent EDAŞ included the Çerkeş location of the E80-D100 highway, which connects 15 cities on the east-west direction only in Turkey, located in Çankırı, one of the cities that the company provides service, as part of its maintenance activities, in order to increase visibility and ensure navigational safety during the harsh winter conditions.
Replacing some of the lighting fixtures that needed replacement and providing maintenance to the remaining ones, as part of its highway lighting works, Baskent EDAŞ overhauled a total of 290 lighting poles and put them into operation.
Başkent EDAŞ, one of the three distribution companies of Enerjisa Enerji in Turkey together with Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ, also serves in Ankara, Bartın, Karabük, Kastamonu, Kırıkkale and Zonguldak besides Çankırı.
