As part of the 2022 activities, Başkent EDAŞ completed the TL 13 million-worth ‘Bartın Kemerköprü Electricity Distribution Facilities Rehabilitation Project’ in order to provide uninterrupted and sustainable energy in Bartın.
Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Başkent EDAŞ) completed the giant infrastructure investment that had a budget of TL 13 million, which was initiated in July 2022, as part of the 2022 studies, with the goal to meet the increasing energy demand of the region uninterruptedly and in high quality.
As part of the ‘Bartın Kemerköprü Electricity Distribution Facilities Rehabilitation Project’ carried out in collaboration and coordination with Bartın Municipality, Başkent EDAŞ dismantled the poles of the existing overhead grid and energized the line with 23-kilometer-long underground cables. The street was enlightened by 142 state-of-the-art LED lighting poles.
In addition to the 93 site distribution boxes that the company assembled, Başkent EDAŞ replaced the transformer buildings in the old grid with 5 new transformers and increased the energy supply security of the region. Considering the future developments in the city, the company increased the voltage standardization of the 6.3 kV grid, which has been in service for more than 30 years, to 31.5 kV.
