With the 14-million TL investment, Başkent EDAŞ has completed the infrastructure project that will serve as a feeder in order to increase the energy supply continuity and technical quality of Karabük city centre and Safranbolu sub-province. Thanks to the project, the infrastructure between the Karabük substation and the Safranbolu substation was strengthened and a feed line was installed.
Sustaining its efforts for uninterrupted electricity supply in Karabük, Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım Anonim Şirketi (Başkent EDAŞ) continues its investments as well as maintenance and repair services.
Recently, the infrastructure project, which was planned to be carried out together with the entry-level junction works initiated by the Directorate General of Highways in the city, was completed in approximately 4 months; and during the project, a feed line was installed between the Karabük substation and the Safranbolu substation in order to minimise the city to be affected from the interruptions due to any inconvenience in one of the two substations.
As part of the project, Başkent EDAŞ laid 75 kilometres of HV underground cable from the Kardemir substation at the entrance of Karabük to the Karabük 100. Yıl Balıklarkayası junction. Thanks to the project, which was completed by an investment of 14 million TL, uninterrupted and high-quality energy will be provided to almost 16,000 customers.
With the goal to minimise the number and hours of power failures, Başkent EDAŞ will continue its maintenance works and investments 24/7 in Karabük to provide uninterrupted and high-quality energy.
