Başkent EDAŞ is on the field for uninterrupted electricity in the Western Black Sea Region
With the heavy snowfall starting to affect the Western Black Sea Region, Başkent EDAŞ teams are on alert to respond any malfunctions in the electricity distribution lines at the higher sections
Başkent EDAŞ teams endeavour to avoid any inconvenience to their customers due to the snowfall, which started to be effective on the night of December 20 and caused malfunctions in the electricity distribution lines at the higher areas.
Putting all their efforts to provide uninterrupted electricity at the higher sections of Bartın, Kastamonu and Zonguldak, where there are electricity distribution lines and the snow thickness reaches up to 50-60 cm, Başkent EDAŞ continues its operations 24/7 and responds swiftly to any malfunctions to prevent any inconvenience at the city centres due to the precipitation at these sections.
Any breakdowns on the conductors and poles due to the snow and ice load caused by the precipitation are detected by drones and Başkent EDAŞ teams repair the malfunctions using the equipment kept ready for disasters at the Logistics Service Centres.
While Başkent EDAŞ teams access challenging areas with 4W pick-ups or tracked vehicles, several cranes are kept ready in the event of any tree and pole fall and generators are available for regional energy supply.
Başkent EDAŞ continues its efforts to provide high-quality and uninterrupted energy, despite all challenging winter conditions, with the existing lines that the Company has maintained throughout the year and the underground and overhead lines that it has commissioned as a result of new investments.
